1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Smart Storage platform (smart-storage.io), including the Admin Dashboard, Booking Portal, Tenant Portal, mobile applications, and any related services ("Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Smart Storage ("we," "our," or "us").
2. Description of Services
Smart Storage provides a cloud-based self-storage management platform that includes:
- Multi-location facility management with unit tracking, floor maps, and occupancy monitoring.
- Online booking portal for prospective tenants with unit browsing, date selection, and payment processing.
- Tenant self-service portal for payments, smart lock access, and support tickets.
- Smart lock integration (TTLock, Bluetooth) for remote access control.
- CCTV integration (Ezviz) for security monitoring.
- Billing, invoicing, and financial management tools.
- Analytics, reporting, and business intelligence dashboards.
- Logistics coordination for move-in/move-out operations.
- Staff scheduling, document management, and workflow automation.
3. Account Registration
3.1 Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Services on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business.
3.2 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. Smart Storage is not liable for any loss arising from unauthorized access to your account.
3.3 Accurate Information
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate.
4. Subscription Plans & Billing
4.1 Plans
Smart Storage offers tiered subscription plans (Starter, Professional, Enterprise) with varying feature sets and pricing. Plan details and pricing are available on our website and may be updated from time to time.
4.2 Free Trial
New accounts may be eligible for a 14-day free trial. No credit card is required to start a trial. At the end of the trial period, you must subscribe to a paid plan to continue using the Services.
4.3 Payment
Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, depending on your selected billing cycle. All fees are non-refundable except as expressly stated in these Terms or required by applicable law.
4.4 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Services for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
- Upload, transmit, or store content that infringes intellectual property rights, is defamatory, obscene, or harmful.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Services, other accounts, or connected systems.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Services.
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Services without our written consent.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services.
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Services without our prior written approval.
6. Data Ownership & Responsibility
6.1 Your Data
You retain all ownership rights to the data you input into the platform ("Your Data"), including facility information, tenant records, financial data, and operational content. We do not claim ownership over Your Data.
6.2 Data Processing
By using the Services, you grant us a limited license to process Your Data solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Services. This includes hosting, displaying, analyzing (in aggregate), and backing up Your Data.
6.3 Data Accuracy
You are solely responsible for the accuracy, quality, and legality of Your Data and the means by which you acquired it. You must ensure you have all necessary consents to input tenant personal data into the platform.
7. Intellectual Property
The Services, including all software, designs, text, graphics, logos, and other content ("Platform IP"), are owned by Smart Storage and protected by intellectual property laws. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Services during your subscription term.
8. Third-Party Integrations
The Services integrate with third-party products including TTLock (smart locks), Ezviz (CCTV), payment processors, and other services. Your use of these integrations is subject to the respective third-party terms. Smart Storage is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or performance of third-party services.
9. Service Availability & SLA
We strive for 99.9% platform uptime. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible. Enterprise plan customers may be eligible for a Service Level Agreement (SLA) with specific uptime commitments and remedies.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Smart Storage shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
- Our total liability for any claims arising from or relating to the Services shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from smart lock malfunctions, CCTV failures, or any physical security incidents at your facilities.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Smart Storage, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Services, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use may cause harm to us, other users, or third parties. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive.
13. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Smart Storage is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection laws.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-platform notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
